To continue my Week of Sakura Hunting series, I’m taking you to one of the most iconic places in Japan. Some photos are worth a thousand words while some experiences are priceless. Ever since I arrived to Japan, one of my biggest dreams was to see Mt. Fuji during full bloom and I finally made that happen. Any view of Fuji-san is breathtaking, but the most epic one in my humble opinion is seen from Chureito Pagoda. I cannot express the excitement of finally being able to see it myself. Definitely a pinch-me moment and the most wonderful way to finish off my sakura hunting this season. After spending a few hours at the shrine, we also went to the shores of Lake Kawaguchiko which is another popular cherry blossom viewing spot in the Fuji Five Lakes area. Here are some of the photos from both locations for you to enjoy.
